About Us
Optimum Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation (OWYEF) is a Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2011. OWYEF is duly registered in Nigeria, West Africa with registration no: 48312 and has its Head Office in Abuja.
We help women and youths especially young girls to learn, grow and increase their chances of success through our structured approach of identifying key talents and helping them unlock their potential, improve their performance and create opportunities for them to excel and achieve great outcomes.

OWYEF VISION
To transform the lives of women and youths through Advocacy, Sensitization and Empowerment.
OWYEF AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- Provide support for vulnerable women and youths through skills acquisition and capacity building, entrepreneurship training and empowerment programmes.
- Protect and preserve the Rights of women and girls.
- Advocate for Gender Equality and Women Inclusion in politics and public office.
Advocate on Peace and Conflict Resolution. - Advocate on Gender Based Violence and Child Sexual Abuse.
- Advance and Strengthen Health consciousness and protection through relevant Health and Sanitation Programmes.
- Advocate on Climate change and its effect on women and girls.
The Founder
Barr. Omotese Egbefo is a Lawyer and a Gender Rights Advocate. She is the Founder/CEO of OPTIMUM WOMEN &YOUTH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION, President of OPTIMUM MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY and the Convener of NAIJA WOMEN DECIDE.
She stands out uniquely in various ways as a determined, self motivated and result-oriented achiever.
She is a visionary, purposeful and forward thinking person with a determination to positively impact women and youths while leaving a lasting legacy for generation to come.
Barr. Omotese Egbefo is an Alumnus of former Bendel State University, Epkoma (Now Ambrose Ali University) where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts (ED)in Education. She also obtained an LL.B Degree in Law from the University of Abuja and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. She also holds numerous professional certificates in Banking, Insurance and Management Courses.
Barr. Omotese Egbefo is a member of several professional bodies and Associations which includes; Nigeian Bar Association, Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), ECOWAS/FEBWE, Nigeria amongst others.
As a Founder, Barr. Omotese Egbefo has worked tirelessly to initiate Economic Empowerment and Capacity Building Programs to benefit women and youths. She is a Role Model, Mentor and a Mother of two Sons.
